We came across two men in a Chinese chess game... many parks have almost exclusively men playing this game. I don't know how to play it, but it definitely requires alot of strategy.
By the way the guy on the left (green) won the game.

CHINESE CHESS HAS BEEN RECORDED IN CLASSIC RECORDS BEFORE CHRIST.THERE ARE TWO TYPES. ONE 'WAI'CHESS, THE OTHER 'XIANG' OR LITERALLY ELEPHANT. THE PICTURE SHOWS THE MEN ARE PLAYING XIANG CHI==ELEPHANT CHESS. THE WAI CHESS IS SIMILAR TO THE JAPANESE 'GO'HAVING BLACK AND WHILE CHIPS ONLY, MUCH LIKE THE INTERNATIONAL CHESS. XIANG CHESS IS SIMPLER,EASIER TO LEARN AND THUS MORE POPULAR WHILE THE WAI CHESS MORE COMPLICATED ,DIFFICULT TO LEARN , TAKES LONGER TIME TO PLAY. IT IS A GAME FOR POLITICIANS, MILITARY STRATIGISTS ,COURT COUNCILLORS,AND SCHOLARS.
